i might not have seen the Loch Ness Monster but i sure saw his brother! lol. Btw, that's ilsa whom i met in Scotland. she's looking too serious with me beside her... lol
this was what i meant in my previous blog entry... the grass... so dry, yet so soft, the blades so tender, so GOOD TO ROLL ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love the grass lands in this part of the world. trust me, i'm a clean freak and the grass is cleaner than your bed at home!!!!! haha...
can't help it that i'm having so much fun doing this all the time! haha.
this is my view of the sky from where i lay on the grass land... i'm just spending time trying to find animals in the clouds... i think i see a duck with its head turned backwards! :) such glee... thanks for everything, Scotland!

wakie wakie... it's my first try at "bed and breakfsat"... it's really something... i got the experience the most traditional things... the bed, the breakfast... literally! cheese, homemade jam, butter with toast, scottish tea, homemade freshly squeezed orange juice, lovely ham and poached eggs!
mirror, mirror on the wall... who's the fairer of us both? *giggle* i talk to him every morning before i head out of the house :) i secretly gave him a name. i call him Colin.
here's a picture of the exterior of the house we stayed at.
i really don't know what's gone into me. i must be still trying to get used to being driven all the time... i ALWAYS fall asleep in a moving vehicle (trust me, ANY vehicle!) arghs... can't get the "zzz monster" out of me!!!!
waking up again... we're on our way to Loch Ness today! let's see if we're in any luck to catch a glimpse of the infamous Loch Ness Monster! for those who may be rather cluelss of this legendary creature, read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loch_Ness_Monster
forget the Loch Ness Monster... didnt' even see a lizard in the Loch Ness! haha. i'm better off setting my eyes on some items for shopping! thot i'd like to own a new snow hat... bought this one cos it's in a lovely shade of pink and fits me just right! woohooo!
this was the old castle which we went to... i was actually more interested in the green green grass than the castle... more on that in the next blog entry.... :)

joined a local tour on my 1st day in Scotland just to orientate myself and find out a little more about the Scotch culture. this is Robin, the guide. wearing the classic kilt fashion and playing us a beautiful tune on the pipes! :)
these are some scenic pictures of the typical view of the streets in Scotland. refreshing aren't there? complex yet simple... more on that later...
just a quick view on the traditional guesthouse that i put up at during my short stay in Scotland...
see the intricate details in the design and interior of the room...
look out for more street pictures soon...

check out this piece of sky... that's 10pm in Edinburgh, Scotland mind you! i'm amazed by Summer in Europe. truly am...
opted for the train to Scotland. figured that's the best and cheapest way... 6am train ride in the morn. yawn.
looking (well, at least i tried) all awake that early in the morning and i definitely got a good seat. Praise the Lord! :)
but alas, my attempt to stay awake was shortlived cos soon, i was in this position...
and just in case you were wondering what i passed out on...
here.... this picture should answer your question? my neck roll :)
soon after i woke up and having done some light reading (cos it really wasn't MUCH reading at all, lol), thought my tummy was growling a little and here's me digging for the pence and pounds that i need to get myself a nice hot toastie! slurp.
more on Scotland and the beautiful people i met along the way to follow in the next entry... :)

went to chinatown... to take a sneak peak into the chinese culture here...
found FOUR SEASONS CHINESE RESTAURANT! the boss is from HK... and i heard that they sell the best roasted poultry! time to give it a try....
when you've heard so much good reviews about a place, you tend to set your expectations quite high....let's just see how this pans out! ;)
the dishes are here and IT IS TIME TO DIGGGGGGGG INNNNNN!
ordered the soup of the day (water crest soup with pork ribs), roast duck, fried eel and chinese spinach in oyster sauce!
TWO THUMBS UP! genuine HK cantonese cuisine indeed! i'm definitely coming back again to Leichester Square Chinatown for more FOUR SEASONs! :)
and by the way, this is the sky of london at 9.45pm after dinner... nice and bright still! :)

was picking up some greeting cards from a cards store... just enjoying the little insignificant, routined errands in life...
went to catch PHANTOM OF THE OPERA at Her Majesty Theatre... tickets prices at a mere fraction of what one will pay elsewhere, totally awesome and all worth the time! nothing beats seeing, 1st hand, all our favorite numbers from this mega production come to "live" right before our eyes in the centre of London :) i'm inspired!
oh, and that's me tying my hair back, all ready to tuck in to a fantastico italiano breakfast at King's Cross area! :) all for just 5pounds!!!
this is the church closest to where i live... its beautiful inside... but pictures weren't permitted... what a shame!
a picture of the loooooooooong escalator leading down to the tube station platform... i suddenly feel a certain serenity in the tube station after all the hustle and bustle in the city grounds... london is too hectic.

london has offered me the best breakfast i've ever had in any other part of this big big world. the portions are HUGE like in the States and i love it!
Lulu is here to visit me! how awesome is that? but just for 2 weeks... time to do some touristy stuff together! :) and Lulu being around TOTALLY helped me a great deal in getting the thousand and one stuff that i need to do, done! phew.
"Konichiwa!" -- some random staff at the tube station greeted me with that. he thought i was japanese. but when i opened my mouth to ask him for directions, he changed his mind. *grin *
this same misundstanding took place many many times over in the last many days... japanese... korean... whatever... they can't seem to tell the difference between the pan-asian states very well. nevermind. i'm not bothered one bit. LOL.
we went to the Buckingham Palace to witness the changing of guards. that cute lil man in that picture could've been brought home if you'd paid enough! (i'm kidding!)
managed to catch the nearly "permanent" protests (/ demonstrations) at the grass patch opposite the Big Ben.
apparently, locals say that the demonstrators literally camp out and have become permanent "fixtures" over there! lol.
check out these gentlemen who were really "dressed for the occasion" right where Winston Churchill is overlooking.... cute! :)
Streets of London.
i checked out the city of westminster. it was beautiful. it's much like the heart of where state affairs take place. all lawyers will know westminster. but nothing beats being there 1st hand. i'm glad i made it. :)
did i mention that i love the weather in london? summer in london is beautiful. feel like air-conditioning everywhere we go.
had really good indian cuisine in london at the other end of waterloo bridge. but i was faced with being questioned by the waiter for my ID to prove that i was of age to drink alcohol! what can i say? i'm flattered to be looking that young. :)
take care, you beautiful people! till my next blog entry with more scenic pictures... whatever it is, and wherever i am, i thought i could do fine with what pastor prince wrote in this weeks devotion article:
"He will be your God of divine happenings. He will place you at the right place at the right time, where you will meet the right people, do the right things and even escape danger!
You may not know where all the great opportunities are, but God does. He was the one who put in you the skills, talents and gifts that you have, and He knows where you need to be, when you should be there and what you need to be doing to be truly fulfilled!"
:)
